A public recruiting pitch for Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant by rapper Drake is landing the Toronto Raptors in hot water.
ESPN.com reports the NBA is fining the Raptors 25-thousand-dollars for tampering.
The penalty comes after comments Drake made about Durant, who attended a recent concert in Toronto. Drake noted to the crowd that Durant was in the audience and said he wanted to let him know what would happen if he came to play in Toronto. The fans then broke into a loud cheer and a "KD!" chant.
Durant will be a free agent in 2016. Drake was named the Raptors' global ambassador last September.
