Worker rescued from 20 ft. hole in St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (970 WFLA) – St. Pete firefighters say a 57-year-old man was rescued from a 20-foot hole Wednesday after falling in it during construction work.

Firefighters say it happened at 92nd Ave. and 3rd St. North. Firefighters say the construction company was contracted to rebuild a lifting station there and the worker was trapped at the bottom of it with multiple injuries due to his fall. 

After being extricated from the hole, the man taken to a local hospital in stable condition but had multiple injuries.
