(Tampa, Fla. - WFLA) Gas prices in the Tampa Bay area have risen about 8 cents per gallon over the past week. The average for a gallon of regular is now $3.40.
Greg Laskoski at TampaGasPrices.com says there are two reasons for the increase. The price of crude oil has risen. And refineries have begun maintenance, leading to the production of summer blend gasoline.
Laskoski says prices will likely keep rising at least for the next few months.
