SPRING HILL, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Another incident at the Survival Outreach Sactuary in Spring Hill. The owner of the sanctuary called 9-1-1 to report that her sister had been gored by a deer. The 75-year-old woman had been helping her sister care for the animals. The woman was gored in the face and arm, and one of her eyes came out of its socket. The injuries were so serious that the woman had to be airlifted to the hospital.
This is the same sanctuary where a lion escaped from its enclosure last week. The lion never made it off the property before it was captured.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating both incidents.
