Autism, ADHD And Video Game Use

(Cleveland, OH)  --  Video games can become addictive for kids.  But a new study says boys with Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder or Autism Spectrum Disorder are at higher risk for addiction.  Researchers at the University of Missouri found boys with ASD and ADHD had more access to video games and were at greater risk for addictive video game use.  Doctors say it's okay for parents to allow kids to play if the games are used appropriately, like to reinforce the other things kids should be doing.  Findings for the study are in the journal "Pediatrics."
